The Macro Lens is particularly useful when working on a damaged canvas when being able to see down to the thread count would be advantageous, and for work on miniatures.

The Macro Lens can capture unparalleled details from just centimetres away.

This infrared reflectogram was taken by the Apollo IR camera using the Macro Lens, with the lens positioned approximately 10cm away from the canvas.

The area of the canvas that the lens was pointed at was a mixture of in-tact paint with columns of exposed canvas where the thread-count is clearly visible.
